Better than the minimum.
Plenty of providers will get you through the exam. We’d rather you came out of the course able to actually do the job — calmly, professionally, and with a proper feel for the venues you’ll be working.
Trained by working operators
Our trainers actively run doors across London. You learn from people who have managed last orders at a 600-cap club this weekend, not just from a textbook.
Small class sizes
Maximum 12 candidates per class. Real seat time on physical intervention, proper individual feedback in conflict management role-play.
Hospitality-first focus
Every module is taught with hospitality scenarios — bars, clubs, restaurants, hotels — not generic security theory. Built around the doors you’ll actually be working.
A path into work, if you want it
Pass the course and you can apply to join the Luxe roster. We don’t guarantee placement, but we hire most of our team from people we’ve trained.
Working operators, not classroom theorists.
Your course is delivered by senior Luxe trainers — every one of them an SIA-licensed door supervisor with years on London doors and a formal teaching qualification. They’re people you might end up working alongside at a venue next month.
All training is delivered in partnership with [TODO: awarding body], an Ofqual-recognised awarding organisation. Your certificate is issued by them and accepted by the SIA.
London training room
Easy reach by tube and Overground. Small, well-equipped training room with break-out space for physical intervention work. Tea, coffee and lunch provided every day of the course.

Things candidates usually ask.
What qualifications do I need before the course?
No prior qualifications. You need to be 18+, have right-to-work in the UK, and read and write English to a basic standard. We’ll send a short pre-course pack once you book — including a list of what to bring on day one.
What does the price include?
All training materials, all exams, your Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, and your qualification certification. The price does not include your SIA licence application fee (currently £190.40, paid directly to the SIA after you pass).
How long is the SIA Door Supervisor licence valid for?
Three years from issue. Roughly six months before it expires you should take a Top-Up / Refresher course — that’s the course you renew against, not the full initial course.
What if my licence has already lapsed?
If it lapsed under three months ago you can take the Top-Up / Refresher. If it lapsed over three months ago you’ll need to retake the full initial qualification.
What happens after I pass the course?
You’ll receive your qualification certificate and EFAW certificate by post within 14 working days. You can then apply for your SIA Door Supervisor licence directly via the SIA website — we walk you through the application in class.
Can I work for Luxe after the course?
If you pass and you’d like to, yes — apply via our Careers page and we’ll fast-track your application. We hire most of our roster from people we’ve trained, but placement is never guaranteed.
What’s your refund policy?
Full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the course. 50% refund 7–14 days before. No refund inside 7 days, but you can transfer your booking to a colleague or move to the next available date for a small admin fee.
Is the training accredited?
Yes — all SIA-linked qualifications must be delivered through an Ofqual-recognised awarding body. We deliver in partnership with [TODO: awarding body name]. Your certificate is issued directly by them and accepted by the SIA without question.
